Downgrading the Blog

You might notice that things look a little more basic around here.

That’s because I’ve downgraded Salty Dharma to the free plan. Since I’m an unemployed writer, and this site wasn’t generating any revenue, it didn’t make sense to keep pay in $100 a year for it.

And, honestly, I’m nearing a point now where I’m running out of things to write about when it comes to Buddhism. The shifts and changes I’ve been experiencing in my life point to teachings that are beyond this blog’s mission statement, and most of them are too personal for me to even write about under my real name.

With that in mind, I am working on another blog, one where I can really share the grit and beauty of ordinary life without worrying about breaching my loved ones’ trust. If you’re interested in that blog, feel free to contact me and I’ll send you a link once it’s up and running.

Salty Dharma has gone through a lot of changes over the years. Now, due to a kind of traumatic reboot in life, it no longer fits with the new direction I’m heading—wherever that is. I’ll still keep it open, and might post here from time to time, but when the domain comes up for renewal, I’m gonna let it lapse and head back to the free WordPress address I started with.

As George Harrison sang, “All things must pass.” If we stick with that truth, we don’t suffer too much as life flows on. So, yeah, if you’re interested in seeing where all of this is going, bounce over to the contact page and drop me a line. If not, then thank you so much for reading, and I hope you come to live the life that’s in you.

May all beings be free of suffering,
May all beings feel safe and still,
May all beings be awake
