Practice is No-Practice

There’s no need to practice in some special way.

Life is the practice. If we learn just to live, then everything else is naturally taken care of. The Six Perfections, the Factors for Enlightenment, and Bodhidharma’s wordless wisdom are all already present.

What doesn’t belong to you will all be taken in an instant, leaving behind what’s truly yourself. Ignore all teachings, banish all teachers, give up all methods, exhaust all effort and just listen to the lessons of the moment. It’s all right here.

Don’t waste your time on this and that teaching or contemplation. Put the gurus and temples out of business and let life wake you up instead.

Every living being has an alarm clock in their future. Just listen for it, and don’t hit snooze.
